How Test2Treat™ Simplifies GI
Test2Treat by FirstVitals delivers clinical-grade results and advanced GI diagnostics from the comfort of home, making care simpler, faster, and more accessible.
How it Works - At Home
Schedule a telemedicine visit with a ProteusDx™ nurse practitioner for a comprehensive GI assessment. Together, you will determine if capsule endoscopy and laboratory testing are appropriate for your care.
If recommended, a ProteusDx™ capsule endoscopy kit will be shipped directly to your home. At the same time, a lab requisition order will be sent to your local laboratory for your convenience.
When your capsule kit arrives, review the instructions for use and immediately schedule your onboarding call with a ProteusDx™ nurse, who will guide you through the capsule ingestion process and answer any questions.
You will also be instructed to complete your lab work at a local Quest Diagnostics location ingesting the capsule.
Once the capsule is recovered according to the Instructions for Use, ship it back using the prepaid return packaging provided. Results from both the capsule and lab tests are typically available within 1–3 business days after receipt.
After your results are ready, you can:
Share your capsule endoscopy and lab reports with your personal physician or GI specialist for follow-up care, or
Schedule an online consultation with a GI Specialist for an in-depth review of your results and to create a treatment plan, if necessary.
How it Works – In Clinic or At Pharmacy
Schedule an office visit with your physician or participating pharmacy for a comprehensive GI assessment. Together, you will determine if capsule endoscopy and laboratory testing are appropriate for your care.
If recommended, a ProteusDx™ capsule endoscopy will be administered at the clinic or pharmacy. At the same time, a lab requisition order will be sent to the local laboratory for your convenience.
Your physician or pharmacy will guide you through the capsule ingestion process and
answer any questions.
You will also be asked to complete your lab work at a local Quest
Diagnostics location at least one day before ingesting the capsule.
Once the capsule is excreted return the receiver to the clinic/pharmacy to download the captured images. Results from both the capsule and lab tests are typically available within 1–3 business days after receipt.
After your results are ready, you can:
Schedule a follow up visit with your physician to review your test results or
schedule an online consultation with a GI Specialist for an in-depth review
of your results and to create a treatment plan, if necessary.
How it Works – Veterinarian
Schedule a visit with a ProteusDx™ network veterinarian for a comprehensive GI assessment of your companion pet. Together, you will determine if capsule endoscopy appropriate for your pet.
If recommended by your veterinarian, a ProteusDx™ smart capsule endoscopy kit will be administered to your companion pet.
When your capsule kit arrives, review the included instructions and schedule your onboarding call with a ProteusDx nurse, who will guide you through the capsule ingestion process and answer any questions. You will also complete your lab work at a Quest Diagnostics location within
one day before or after ingesting the capsule. Within a day before or after ingesting the capsule, have your lab work done at the nearest Quest Diagnostics laboratory.
Once the capsule is excreted by your pet, return the receiver to the veterinarian office to download the captured images. Your veterinarian will review
the images captured and will provide the appropriate treatment plan for your companion pet.
